Riva de Garda
Ciao! Riva del Garda is a town in northern Italy. I visited in Sep 2013, which was summertime there, so it was perfect to enjoy the cool lake breeze and hot weather.
This trip was my first experience in Italy. I took a taxi from Verona airport to Hotel Mirage. Many beautiful European-style residential houses really impressed me.
Riva del Garda is surrounded by mountains and is really beautiful and clean; the beach is great for swimming. Many Italian people laid on the beach and enjoyed the sun. Though the weather was quite hot, the refreshing breeze came once in a while, making the hot summer bearable.
Italian food is really good. Though people can have spaghetti everywhere, it tasted differently in Italy. Pollo fungi spaghetti, sensational seafood spaghetti and spaghetti allo scoglio slurp were my favorites. Pizza was also great there. Spaghetti or pizza with red wine was a perfect match for each meal. I noticed wine is cheaper than cola or coffee in Italy. For example, a bottle of wine is around 3 ~ 5 Euro. It is good idea to bring some wine (vino) back home! Riva del Garda is tranquil and elegant.
